Day 6: Sithonia Peninsula
Wednesday, May 26th, 1999
After a bit of a scare when Dad got stuck in the elevator, we pack up the car and head out for the day. We're heading toward the Sithonia Peninsula.
Stopped
in a village called Neos Marmaras for lunch. Cute little place right on the
water. The waiter suggests that we try their homemade table wine… as if we
would drink anything else. The wine is great and we go through carafe after
carafe
of it.
After circumnavigating the peninsula, we head back to Thessaloniki for the night. We have dinner at the Aristo Telous Square, a neat little park in the center of the city. As usual, dinner is fantastic.
We spend the night at the Hotel Tourist in Thessaloniki. Nothing much to talk about here.
